By visiting or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must immediately stop using the website.
2. Service provision and no advice
Important: We do not provide individual tax advice. QDS Consult Comm. V. is not a tax advisory firm.
The information and tools on cryptotax.be are intended to give you a general understanding of the tax treatment of cryptocurrency. QDS Consult Comm. V. does not act as your tax advisor. All information on the site is of a general nature and does not take your personal circumstances into account. For tailored advice, you should consult a qualified tax consultant or accountant.
QDS Consult Comm. V. is not registered as a certified tax consultant or accountant with the Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants (ITAA) and does not provide statutorily regulated tax or accounting advice. The reports, calculations and exports that cryptotax.be generates are a tool to help prepare your tax return. They are not a substitute for the advice or final review of your own accountant or tax advisor, who alone can assess your personal situation.
3. Use of the website
You may use cryptotax.be solely for legitimate, personal purposes in accordance with these terms and the applicable laws and regulations. When using the website, you agree, among other things, to:
- Use accurate data: If you enter figures, data or other information (for example, for calculations), you will, to the best of your knowledge, enter correct and complete data that belongs to you.
- Not misuse the site: You will not use the website in a way that damages, disables, overloads or disrupts the site. Distributing viruses, malware or harmful code through cryptotax.be is not permitted.
- Not infringe rights or legislation: You will not use the service for unlawful activities or to infringe the rights of others.
- No commercial exploitation without permission: You may not reuse, resell or otherwise exploit the content, tools, results or services of cryptotax.be for commercial purposes without our express written permission.
- Only report your own or authorized assets: By using CryptoTax.be, you confirm that you report only on crypto-assets that you own yourself or for which you are legally authorized to file a return.
The services of cryptotax.be are intended for users aged 18 or older. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must consent to your use of this website.
We reserve the right to restrict or block your access to cryptotax.be in the event of a breach of these usage rules or in the event of misuse.
4. Intellectual property
All elements of this website, including the texts, images, graphic elements, logos, software and databases, are the property of QDS Consult Comm. V. or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
Without our prior written permission, you may not copy, reproduce, publish, forward or otherwise distribute or use any material from cryptotax.be, except for personal and non-commercial use.
The brand name cryptotax.be, the associated logo and all product and service names mentioned on the site are trademarks or registered trademarks of QDS Consult Comm. V. Your use of the site does not grant you any right or license to these trademarks.
Any data or information that you enter yourself on the website remains your property. You grant us the right to use this data for the intended purpose of the service, in accordance with our privacy guidelines.
5. Privacy and data protection
We value your privacy. We will process personal data that you provide via cryptotax.be in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation.
Our Privacy Statement explains which data we collect, how we handle it and for which purposes it is used. By using the site, you consent to this processing of personal data.
If you have questions about your data or our privacy policy, please consult the Privacy Statement or contact us using the contact details below.
6. Limitation of liability and disclaimers
Please note: Use of the available information and calculation tools is entirely at your own risk.
Although we take the greatest possible care with the content and tools on cryptotax.be, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current and error-free. The tax rules around cryptocurrency change regularly and can be complex.
Belgian legislation on the tax treatment of crypto-assets was substantially amended in 2026. CryptoTax.be reflects the regulations as they were understood at the time of implementation. We strongly advise you to verify the most current regulations with a qualified tax advisor, in particular for returns relating to assessment year 2026 and later.
No guarantee of fitness for purpose
We provide the calculations and information "as is", without any warranty. No guarantee is given that the results of calculations are correct, complete or free of errors, nor that they are suitable for your specific situation or objectives.
For example: although cryptotax.be can help you prepare your tax return, the result is not guaranteed to be suitable to file with the tax authorities without further review. You must always assess the output critically and, if necessary, have it checked by a professional tax advisor or accountant.
Your responsibility for the return
You remain solely responsible for your tax return. This means, among other things, that you are responsible for:
- reviewing and verifying the accuracy and completeness of the calculations, amounts and codes before filing;
- the tax qualification of your transactions (for example, whether capital gains qualify as investment income, miscellaneous income or professional income), which depends on your personal facts and circumstances and which you should have confirmed by your accountant or tax advisor;
- complying with all applicable tax obligations and filing deadlines.
cryptotax.be performs the calculations based on the data you provide or that we retrieve via connected sources. The final decision to declare an amount, and how to do so, always rests with you and, where applicable, with your accountant.
Third-party data and market data
To build your reports, we rely on third-party data, including blockchain indexers and node providers, exchange APIs and historical price and exchange-rate sources. We have no control over the accuracy, completeness or availability of this external data and cannot guarantee that it is error-free or remains available without interruption.
Inaccuracies, gaps or delays in third-party data may affect the results. We are not liable for any damage arising from this. We advise you to verify the reported transactions and amounts against your own statements.
No guarantee of acceptance by the tax authorities
cryptotax.be gives no guarantee whatsoever that the generated reports, amounts or code assignments will be accepted by the FPS Finance or any other tax authority. Use of cryptotax.be does not exclude an audit, review, additional assessment, penalty or interest by the tax authorities, and provides no protection against these.
Exclusion and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, QDS Consult Comm. V. excludes all liability for any form of damage arising from or related to the use of cryptotax.be or its unavailability. This includes, among other things:
- Direct and indirect damage
- Consequential damage
- Financial losses
- Lost profits
- Penalties
- Missed tax benefits
- Data loss
- Third-party claims
QDS Consult Comm. V. is not liable for any errors or omissions in the information provided, nor for any action taken on the basis of the information on this site.
Limitation in amount. To the extent that we would nevertheless be liable despite the foregoing, our total liability in all cases combined is limited to the amount you paid to QDS Consult Comm. V. for the relevant service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the damage. For users of the free subscription, who have paid nothing, this limit equals zero.
What we never exclude. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, intent or gross negligence, for damage to life or physical integrity, or for any other liability that cannot validly be excluded or limited under Belgian law.
If you are a consumer, the provisions of this article do not affect your mandatory statutory rights, including the statutory conformity regime for digital content and services. A more detailed overview of your consumer rights and our refund policy can be found in our Refund and Withdrawal Policy. With respect to professional users (B2B), the exclusions and limitations in this article apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Third-party services and external links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. Such links or references are provided solely for the convenience and information of the user.
We have no control over the content or services of these third parties and accept no responsibility or liability for third-party websites, their content, or their operations.
The inclusion of a link to an external website or service does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of the content or services of that third party. If you decide to use the products or services of a third party, you do so entirely on your own initiative, and such agreements fall outside these Terms of Service.
QDS Consult Comm. V. is not a party to such agreements and bears no liability for them. We advise you to read carefully the terms and privacy policy of any third parties before using their services.
8. Changes, maintenance and termination of the service
We strive to keep cryptotax.be accessible and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee that the website will always be available or will always function fully as intended. Maintenance or unforeseen circumstances may cause the site to be temporarily unavailable.
We reserve the right to make changes at any time to the content, functionality or available information of cryptotax.be. These changes may include, among other things:
- Adding, modifying or removing features
- Adjusting information
- Changing calculation tools
- Adjusting other parts of the site
Such adjustments may be made without prior notice.
We may also amend or supplement these Terms of Service from time to time. In the event of significant changes, we will post a notice on the website or inform you in another appropriate manner. By continuing to use the website after the terms have been changed, you accept the applicability of the updated terms.
QDS Consult Comm. V. may decide at any time to discontinue the website (or parts of it) or to restrict access for certain users, for example in the event of misuse.
Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in the performance of the service that results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, among other things, failures or unavailability at external providers (such as hosting, node or API providers and exchanges), network or internet outages, cyberattacks, power failures, government measures, natural disasters and labor disputes.
9. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms of Service, as well as any disputes related to the use of cryptotax.be and the services of QDS Consult Comm. V., are governed by Belgian law.
In the event of a dispute, we will first try to resolve it through mutual consultation. If that is not possible, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in Belgium.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remainder of the terms will remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision in question will be deemed to be replaced by a valid provision that approximates as closely as possible the intent of the original provision.
10. Subscriptions, rates and payments
CryptoTax.be offers paid subscriptions for creating tax reports. Subscriptions apply per calendar year (tax year) and are not recurring subscriptions: there is no automatic renewal or repeated charge.
Available subscriptions
The following subscriptions are available:
- Free: free of charge, limited number of transactions
- Hobby: €49 per tax year
- Pro: €199 for all your tax years (from your first activity to the current year); a new tax year can be added afterwards for €49
The exact transaction limits and included features per subscription are shown on the pricing page.
Rate changes
We reserve the right to adjust the rates. The rates in effect at the time of purchase are always listed on the pricing page. Subscriptions already purchased are not revised retroactively.
Payments
Payments are processed via Stripe. The following payment methods are supported: Bancontact, payment card (Visa/Mastercard), Apple Pay and SEPA direct debit.
Right of withdrawal and refund guarantee
You are entitled to a full refund within 14 calendar days of the purchase date, without giving any reason.
To exercise this right, contact us via [email protected], mentioning your purchase confirmation. After the refund is approved, your paid subscription lapses and you return to the free subscription.
Expiry, cancellation and downgrade
Upon the expiry of a subscription year, cancellation or downgrade to a lower subscription, you retain access to previously generated tax reports. You lose the ability to create new reports beyond the limits of your active subscription.
Data retention
The expiry, cancellation or downgrade of a subscription does not affect the retention of your personal data. Free accounts are subject to the same retention policy as paid accounts: your data is retained for the duration of your account plus seven years, in accordance with Belgian legal requirements. Please consult our Privacy Statement for full details.
11. Accountant access
CryptoTax.be gives users the option to grant read access to their account to a third party, such as an accountant or tax advisor. This functionality is intended solely to facilitate collaboration with your own advisor.
The user is solely responsible for managing the access rights granted, including revoking them in a timely manner. CryptoTax.be is not liable for actions performed by an accountant or other third party who has been given access on the user's initiative, nor for the consequences of failing to revoke that access in time.
Access can be revoked at any time via the account settings, after which access lapses immediately. CryptoTax.be is not a party to the relationship between the user and their accountant and accepts no responsibility or liability in that regard.
Managed files
An accountant whom you have mandated may also create a managed file for you on CryptoTax.be. In a managed file, the accountant can, on your behalf, add data sources, make corrections to your tax data and finalize your tax report. If you already have an account with the same email address, the managed file is linked to your account.
The accountant acts on the basis of the mandate you have granted them. The accuracy of the data and corrections that the accountant enters and of the reports that they finalize falls under the responsibility of the accountant and of you as the taxpayer. CryptoTax.be is not a party to that mandate and accepts no liability for the accountant's actions in a managed file. If you wish to end a collaboration, please contact your accountant or [email protected].
