Everything you need to know about the accountant invitation on Cryptotax: shared access, security, and how to revoke access.
If you have received an invitation from an accountant, here you will find everything you need to know before you decide to accept.
What is an accountant invitation?
An accountant has invited you to share your Cryptotax data. This allows your accountant to help you prepare your crypto tax return in Belgium. Your accountant can then consult your transaction history and tax reports, so that together you arrive at a correct return.
What can your accountant see?
After accepting, your accountant gets read access to:
- Your Cryptotax account and profile
- Your transaction history (deposits, withdrawals, swaps, etc.)
- Your tax reports and calculations
What can your accountant not do?
Your accountant gets read-only access. That means:
- They cannot change any data in your account
- They cannot add or remove wallets
- They cannot adjust transactions
Security advice
Only accept the invitation if you know and trust the accountant. Check the name of the accounting firm on the invitation page. If you do not recognise the invitation or are not sure, simply ignore it - nothing happens if you do not accept.
Revoking access
You can revoke your accountant's access at any time through your account settings. Go to Settings in your Cryptotax account to manage shared access.
