Import Bitget into Cryptotax

You import Bitget into Cryptotax with the CSV export of your spot order history. There is no API connection, so you do not need an API key. Use the dedicated Bitget source, not the Custom CSV: Bitget writes an order on a single row (the coin you buy or sell and its counter-value together), and the Bitget source books that row as a complete swap.

Step 1: Export your spot orders from Bitget

  1. Log in to Bitget and go to Orders > Spot Orders > Order History.
  2. Click Export and choose the full period.
  3. Download the CSV file.

Include your full history. Cryptotax calculates the purchase price with FIFO, so missing older orders give wrong results.

Step 2: Upload the file in Cryptotax

  1. In Cryptotax, go to Add source.
  2. Choose the Bitget tile (Export your spot order history as CSV from Bitget).
  3. Drag the file into the upload area, or pick it with the file chooser. Cryptotax accepts .csv and .txt.
  4. Confirm the upload and wait until processing is done.

What Cryptotax does with your orders

Direction in the exportWhat Cryptotax books
BuyA swap: the quote coin (usually USDT or USDC) goes out, the base coin comes in. The counter-value is the Trading volume column.
SellA swap in the other direction: the base coin goes out, the quote coin comes in.
  • Cryptotax uses the executed quantity (Executed), not the requested one (Order amount). A partly filled order therefore counts for the part that was actually traded.
  • An order that executed nothing (for example cancelled without a fill) is skipped.
  • The date in the export has no time zone. Cryptotax reads it as UTC.
  • Every swap is valued in euro for your FIFO calculation, as with other exchanges.

What this export does not contain

  • Trading fees: the spot order history has no fee column, so Cryptotax books no costs for your Bitget orders.
  • Deposits and withdrawals: these are in a separate Bitget export, which the Bitget source does not read. A transfer from or to your Bitget account therefore only shows on the side of your other wallet or exchange.
  • Futures, margin and copy trading: the Bitget source only reads spot orders.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an API connection with Bitget?

No, Bitget only works through CSV import.

My export contains cancelled orders. Do I need to remove them first?

No. Cryptotax skips orders without an executed quantity by itself. Upload the file as Bitget creates it.

Can I later add a newer export that overlaps with the previous one?

Yes. Every Bitget order has a unique order ID, and Cryptotax uses that ID so the same order is not booked twice.
